The exhibition “Open Portal” is on display at the Ternopil Regional Museum of Local Lore. Its author is Vasyl Petrovskyi, a carver, designer, painter, sculptor, and master of folk art from Kremenchuk.

The artist is originally from Rivne region. He studied at the Kremenets Regional Pedagogical College and the Precarpathian National University, majoring in interior design. He has been carving wood for about 15 years. In 2011, he designed the Europe Park recreation park in Germany. And in 2021, he held his first solo exhibition at the Kremenets Botanical Garden and the Regional Juliusz Slovak Literary and Memorial Museum. In 2021, Vasyl Petrovskyi’s landscape sculpture for the Kremenets Botanical Garden, Throne of Nature, won first place in the international Golden Time Talent competition.

The artist is inspired by his surroundings and live communication. In particular, the Kremenets artists who support him. He doesn’t call his work routine, but interesting, despite the fact that some of his works can take six months to create. That is how long it took him to carve the painting “Through the Ages”.
