Kazakhstani violinist wins first place at a competition in London

The qualifying round of the competition was held in early January. At the end of February, it became known that the Kazakh woman scored the highest scores and won 1st place in two categories – for her performance of the Tchaikovsky Concerto and her cover of Abai Kunanbayev’s Kazakh song Boyy bulgaң.

The competition has been held in London for seven years and this year 18 countries took part. Different nominations were presented: from art, artists, to opera singers and instrumentalists.

“The jury members were mostly from Europe. There were also jury members from Ukraine. They watched my Instagram page, where I had a video dedicated to supporting Ukraine. And on the video call they expressed their special thanks to the Kazakh people for their help and support,” says the violinist.
