Julia Zabrocka: Synthesis of science, theology and digital art

Julia Zabrocka is a multifaceted individual whose career and creativity represent a unique blend of deep knowledge in the natural sciences and humanities, pedagogical passion, and diverse artistic talents spanning music, traditional painting, and modern 3D graphics.

Fundamental Education: Two Master’s Degrees in Biology and Theology

Julia Zabrocka received two master’s educations, graduating from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a Master’s degree in Theology and the Poznań University of Life Sciences with a Master’s degree in Biology.

This unique combination testifies to her openness to different ways of knowing the world—both empirical and spiritual. Such interdisciplinarity allows her to combine rational thinking with reflection on the meaning of life, which, in her opinion, is extremely valuable in education and working with youth.

Continuous Striving for Development and Expansion of Competencies

Demonstrating a constant desire for self-improvement, Julia is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English Studies at Vizja University in Warsaw. This is a hybrid form of learning (online classes in English with trips to Warsaw for exams), and she believes this education is necessary for her work. In the future, she plans to enroll in a 2-year master’s program in English Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Julia has been studying English since the age of 10 and travels to England, but notes that she still has much to catch up on.

Pedagogical Activity and Vocation

Julia considers herself a teacher by vocation who combines the exact sciences with a foreign language, which requires flexibility, knowledge, and passion. Her work is focused not only on the transfer of knowledge but also on inspiring students to discover the world in different dimensions.

She teaches biology, chemistry, and English at Lyceum No. XX and the “Żak” school in Poznań. Previously, she also worked at a primary school and Lyceum No. XV in Poznań.

Early Artistic Path: Traditional Painting and Exhibitions

Julia’s creative journey began with traditional techniques, where she painted in acrylics, oils, and watercolors. This experience laid the foundation for her subsequent work with graphics. She participated in art workshops and courses, including a course at the Lagunart&ducky gallery (2017–2019).

Digital Competencies: Mastering Photoshop, InDesign, and Blender

Julia has mastered modern digital tools, completing courses in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and 3D modeling in Blender. She notes that her multifaceted digital competencies open doors to graphic design, animation, and game creation.

Commercial Illustration: Scientific Books and Children's Publications

Julia has successfully applied her creative skills in publishing. She illustrated and submitted for printing two scientific books on mathematics and created a children’s book “Ladybug” (Biedroneczka) with a coloring book. She enjoys writing and illustrating comics the most.

International Scope: Participation in Exhibitions and Competitions

Julia’s works have an international scope and have been exhibited in Warsaw, Poznań, and London, as well as in numerous online galleries. She is a multiple prize-winner (2nd and 3rd places) of the Golden Time Talent competition (2023–2025) and took 1st place in the “Homo Creatus” competition (2017).

Musical Education: Training at T-Burton School of Music

The musical education received at the T-Burton School of Music (2 years) added an artistic dimension to her personality, developing sensitivity, discipline, and teamwork skills.

Vocal Career: Performances and Choir Membership

Julia has performed as a vocalist at the Blue Note club in Poznań and a seniors’ club. Currently, she sings in the parish choir of St. John Cantius (formerly in the Dolorosa choir), participating in the liturgical and artistic life of the parish under the direction of conductor Adam Schulczewski.

Deep Motivation: Merging Art with Spirituality through Choir

For Julia, singing in a choir is not only about developing vocal skills but also a language of emotions, community, and spiritual enrichment. The sacred nature of the choirs allows her to combine art with spirituality, which aligns with her theological sensitivity, bringing the joy of creativity and a sense of purpose.

Career Ambitions: Creating 3D Characters for the Game Industry

In the future, Julia would like to create characters for games in a company to utilize her skills. She sees creating characters in Blender as the ideal field for combining her illustrative, digital, and narrative skills.

Philosophy of Creativity: Using Characters as Carriers of Ideas

Her interest in psychology and narrative prompts her to create characters with depth and personality. Julia strives to use characters in games as carriers of ideas—educational, cultural, or emotional—to evoke empathy and reflection, combining entertainment with a deep message.

Julia Zabrocka demonstrates how an interdisciplinary approach enriches life. Possessing two master's degrees in biology and theology, she successfully connects rational thinking with spiritual reflection in her work. As a teacher of chemistry, biology, and English, she inspires students. In her creative work, Julia transitioned from traditional painting (exhibitions in London, Warsaw, Poznań) to digital graphics (Blender), striving to create characters for games that carry an ideological and emotional message. Her active participation in choral singing completes this picture, uniting art, community, and spirituality. Julia's life is one of constant development and the transmission of meaning through all the languages available to her.
