Rising Star of the Caucasus: Interview with Anastasia Tkhelidze

Anastasia Tkhelidze is a gifted singer whose natural talent and love for music manifest from the earliest years. She has an amazing ability to connect with the audience, wins prestigious international competitions, and brings sincerity and energy to every genre she performs – from pop songs to traditional music. Her discipline, perseverance, and charisma promise her a bright path in the performing arts. We talked with Anastasia about her first steps, inspiration, secrets of success, and dreams.

Anastasia, you have a natural gift for music and performance that manifests from an early age. Can you recall the moment when you first felt that music was your calling?

The first time I felt that music was my calling was when I was four years old. I was playing a little toy piano and performing, I think, an English Christmas song. Of course, I didn’t have a teacher yet. And then, when I sang, I felt deep inside that I could never live without music, that music was the realest and most valuable thing for me.

You have an amazing ability to connect with the audience. What do you feel when you perform on stage, and how do you manage to convey emotions so genuinely through singing?

You can’t even imagine the enormous energy I feel from the audience! When I go on stage, I look into the eyes of people who are interested in what and how I am going to sing, and all of this gives me enormous pleasure and tremendous support. I think it is the audience that gives me my openness and freedom on stage.

You have a very wide vocal range. How do you work on your voice?

I actively work on my voice — every day, without days off. Regardless of what I am busy with — studying, drawing, or just relaxing — music is always by my side. Even before bed, I continue to learn: I listen, analyze, and sing. My desire to improve is very great. This is not just a goal for me, it is a way of life.

You perform different genres. Which genre is closest to your heart, and is there any genre you would like to try in the future?

The closest to my heart is, of course, pop vocals and jazz. It is in these styles that I feel the most free and sincere. It is difficult to say what the future holds; perhaps something new will capture my attention, as music is a living journey. But today, I feel that pop vocals are closer to me than all other directions.

You won first places in such prestigious competitions as "Kids Got Talent USA," Golden Time Talent, and Fiestalonia International Competition. Which of these victories was the most important for you and why?

One of the most vivid impressions in my life was the trip to America when I participated in the Kids Got Talent show. I was amazed by how kind, warm, and responsive the people were. They supported me, despite the fact that I was a complete stranger to them. I was especially touched by how actively they rooted for me, even though all the finalists were Americans. Their support helped me gather my strength and, ultimately, win. That was a moment I will never forget.

You actively participate in local events in Tbilisi. Which of these performances did you remember the most?

In Georgia, I often take part in competitions and concerts, but one of the most memorable performances took place on June 1st, Children’s Protection Day. In the summer, outdoors, I sang in the park for the little ones and their parents. I saw how my music resonated in children’s hearts. Their sincerity, pure joy, and vibrant energy gave me a huge emotional boost. I felt that music truly has the power to connect people.

How do you cope with nervousness before performances? Do you have any special rituals or habits?

When I make the sign of the cross, I feel more confident. This simple gesture gives me inner strength and calmness. The most important things in life for me are sincere smiles, support, and, of course, the love of people. This is what fills my soul and gives me the inspiration to move forward.

How do you balance studying, vocal lessons, and performances?

For me, studying and singing are one whole. I do not separate these two processes: as soon as I finish my school lessons, I immediately switch to music, already thinking about which songs I will be working on. This is my single path, my system, my lifestyle. Studying develops my mind, and singing develops my soul. Together, they give me harmony.

Besides singing, do you have any other creative hobbies that help you with music or inspire it?

My one and most important creative hobby, besides music, is dancing and building constructions with LEGO. Dancing helps me better feel the rhythm and express emotions through movement, while LEGO develops my attention to detail, imagination, and patience. These activities complement my musical endeavors and help me think outside the box.

Who or what inspires your creativity? Do you have any musical idols?

My main source of inspiration is, without a doubt, music. But if we talk about the people who have truly influenced me, I have three idols: Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Olivia Rodrigo. Each of them inspires me in her own way—with her sincerity, hard work, creative freedom, and ability to speak to the world through music.

Where do you see yourself in the performing arts in 5–10 years? Do you have a dream connected to music?

I cannot say what my future will be in advance, but one thing I know for sure: my big dream is to be active, loved, and recognized. I really want people to love me for my music, value my creativity, and feel the soul in every one of my performances. I dream of becoming a singer who will be known and respected all over the world—like my idols. Becoming a part of this big world of music—that is my goal.

What advice would you give to other children who dream of becoming singers?

The most important thing is never to give up. No matter how difficult it is, you must always look ahead, believe in yourself, and keep moving forward. If you truly believe in yourself, are not lazy, and are ready to work hard—you will definitely succeed. And perhaps my main advice to everyone is to always stay true to yourself and follow your dream, no matter what.

The story of Anastasia Tkhelidze is an example of how natural talent matures into mastery through daily effort and self-belief. The young artist has already conquered international stages and the hearts of listeners in Tbilisi, using her sincerity as her main strength. Her ambitious dream – to become known and loved all over the world – is supported by a clear philosophy: "Never give up... and follow your dream, no matter what." The Global Talent Confederation team sincerely thanks Anastasia for the inspiration. After all, her creativity is vivid proof that dedication turns the boldest childhood dreams into reality.
