My story with music began in kindergarten, where I first saw the "magical" musical instrument — the piano. For a little girl, it was true magic: touching the black and white keys produced wonderful sounds. It was then that my love for music was born, becoming an integral part of my life. Soon, I enrolled in a music school, where I began studying the basics of music theory and piano playing. During my studies, I discovered that composing my own melodies was easier and more interesting for me than learning other people's works. It became a means of self-expression and a source of joy. I participated in numerous competitions and concerts, where I could share my music with others. At school, I was known as "the girl who always sings," and it was true: I sang during breaks, in the gym, everywhere I could. Music accompanied me at every stage of life — from school concerts to university performances. It became my way of communicating with the world, a means of conveying emotions and stories. Each new experience, each new melody enriched me as a person and as a musician. Music became not just a hobby, but a true calling that defined my life's path.

You were a soloist in several choirs and performed at music festivals in Germany. How did this experience enrich your musical development and influence your solo career?

My professional experience in choral art allowed me to feel the power and endless beauty of choral sound. It gave me the opportunity to learn how to harmoniously integrate my voice into the sound of dozens of other voices and parts, achieving a fusion of polyphony into a single harmonious whole that penetrates the heart and touches the deepest depths of the soul. Choral art provided me with invaluable experience in vocal mastery and became the embodiment of the highest creativity of many people whose goal is to bring the beauty of a vast array of choral works to others. In the spring of 2024, you released a song dedicated to Ukrainian defenders, "Yellow Roses of an Angel." What inspired you to create this composition, and what emotions did you want to convey through it?

"I close my eyes and see a beautiful Angel" — the opening lines of the song "Yellow Roses of an Angel," released in the spring of 2024. This song is a dedication to Ukrainian warrior-defenders. A girl waiting for her hero-lover to return from the war addresses him, saying she knows how difficult it is for him now, but there is no other choice. Not knowing whether he is alive or dead, she tells him that they will always love each other and will surely meet again.

"Spread your wings… Life is endless… Fly without fear, My Love," — she tells him in the concluding lines of the song. This song is about the endless grief many in Ukraine have had to endure, and about the endless love and strength that live in each of us.

How do you see the development of your career in the coming years? Do you have specific projects or dreams you would like to realize?

Over time, I realized a simple formula for my life: "Wherever I am, there must be music." This is how I see my development, my plans, and projects.

You also mentioned in the talent confederation questionnaire that you founded the Academy of Etiquette and Image at the beginning of 2024. How did the idea of creating such an academy come about, and what goals do you set for yourself?

In 2024, I founded the Academy of Etiquette and Image, whose slogan is "Compassion and Generosity." The idea of creating the academy arose from the frequent lack of basic knowledge and awareness in the field of human relationships. We strive to teach respectful points of interaction and the fundamental principles of not violating personal space, the inviolability of personal differences, interaction with people with disabilities, the protection of children's rights, and many other aspects of life. Often, people, without giving importance to their behavior, can hurt and belittle others. The academy aims to provide this knowledge to those who seek it, with a special focus on the development of children in this area. As part of the Academy's activities, patronage in various spheres of public life is envisaged. For example, on October 29, 2024, one of the charity events will take place — raising funds for an animal shelter in Odesa, where hundreds of animals need treatment, rehabilitation, care, and finding "kind owners." The goal of the Academy's work is to create an ecological society and a comfortable environment for coexistence.

Kseniya, tell us how the organization of the fundraiser went and why you chose this particular initiative to support? What challenges and obstacles did you encounter in organizing the charity event?

I have been helping the Raccoon House for a long time. When the war began, many people left, and those who remained were in fear and confusion, not knowing what would happen next. The animals were left without support. Then the owner reached out for help through the media, and we responded because there was no other way. There were no difficulties. I have been involved in charity work for about 20 years and know that the main thing in this business is absolute transparency. When people trust, difficulties disappear.

Also, it is very interesting to know how you approach writing new songs. Do you have specific processes or rituals that help you in the creative process?

The song "Angel’s Yellow Roses" literally "came" to me. The lyrics and music were already ready inside me; I just had to sit down and write them down. In other cases, the creation process happens, as with many poets and composers: it takes a little time, soul, and living through the plot, and then the magic of the song's birth comes to life.

What platforms and channels do you use to distribute and popularize your new songs? How do you choose where to place your music?

I use TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify. For now, I am taking a simple path.

What feedback do you receive from listeners on your songs, and how does it affect your creativity? Do you have examples of feedback that particularly stood out to you?

There is feedback, it is pleasant and helps to understand that there are those for whom this music brings joy and inspiration.

Have you participated in music competitions or festivals to promote your songs and talent? If so, how did this experience affect your career?

Since childhood, I have often participated in various competitions (somewhere, of course, the certificates are preserved 🤭). In Odesa, the "Talents of Ukraine!" competition was held annually, and I regularly took prize places with my original songs, musical compositions, and as part of choral groups. As part of my musical education, these were competitions based at the Odesa Conservatory. It was an experience of great excitement and responsibility for the group, as well as prospects. Overall, it was not easy.

How do you interact with your audience and maintain a connection with them? What methods do you use to engage listeners in your creativity?

I still have to develop work on this point. I love my audience very much and try to give maximum attention in correspondence, discussing impressions, and sometimes even in joint plans for creating interesting projects. Honestly, the scope of my activities is so vast and exciting that there is little time left for self-promotion. It always seems better to help someone now when there is a need, and I will take care of myself a little later.
